Challenge
The water board of Schieland en de Krimpenerwaard had an innovation day facilitated by Studio.WHY where 4 teams were tasked to create innovation concepts to pitch to management. The challenge was to visualize these innovation concepts into something tangible, that the teams could use in their pitch to the management board later that month.

Solution
At the end of the day I spent time with the teams, recorded their concepts, asked a couple of claryfing questions and ended up with some initial ideas for each team. Two week later I finalized every concept illustration with the end results below.

Management team creates 'clear water' so that the innovation pearls can be found

Employees engaging other colleagues about the topic of sustainability and innovation that starts as a small drop which eventually leads to a wave of enagement and impact within the organisation.

A governance process that includes a decision tree which allows the current innovation team to focus on guidance where big ideas need big funding, small ideas need small funding and there's always a chance the idea will be sent to the 'trash bin'

Another pitch for an innovation governance structure that should represent a 'shark tank' mindset, where managment team members can become some sort of owner and adopt ideas of employees to bring it further to help bridge the 'valley of death'
